In episode 33-11-02 Heart of the Shopping District, Sade, Vic and Rush go downtown to buy Rush a new coat but get there too late.
In episode 39-11-30 Vic's New Hat, Sade and Vic make arrangements to go hat shopping.
In episode 39-08-30 Rush Mad Preselected School Clothes, Sade pre-bought clothes for Rush for school. This included a blue serge suit, a pair of reddish brown shoes and a plaid cap.
In episode 41-01-24 Mr Ruebush Has to Wait, Sade, Ruthie Stembottom and Mis' Appelrot had all been at Yamilton's, together.
In episode 41-03-04 Vic Wins Broad Brimmed Hat, Sade had purchased 36 washrags at Yamilton's.
In episode 41-03-25 Muddled Shopping Money, Sade buys shoelaces for a dime, hairpins, a spool of white thread #50 for 5 cents, 15 cents worth of candy (for Ruthie) and 12 and half cents for Mis' Cryder's church charity.
In episode 41-04-xx Shopping Trip Five Dollar Bank, Sade buys white thread #50, candy, use of weighing machine and wash rags.
In episode 41-07-10 Bring Your Figures, Sade bought white thread #50 (she always buys that color/#) and she and Ruthie bought gum drops, weighed themselves and had ice cream.
In episode 41-11-06 The Dangerous Washrag Sale, Sade and Ruthie tell of a dangerous washrag sale they attended.
In episode 42-03-03 Accounting for Spondulicks, Ruthie bought a collar pin for Fred for a dollar at Kleeburger's. She also got weighed (it costs a penny) at the Ten Cent store. Sade bought a pair of brown shoe laces at Emson's shoe store.
In episode, 42-08-24 Rush's New School Clothes, Sade and four lady friends were to meet Rush downtown and buy him school clothes.
In episode 44-07-18 Sale at Yamiltons, there's a giant sale on at Yamilton and Sade sees all kinds of people she knows - yet doesn't buy anything.
In episode 44-08-04 Vic is Boss for a Day, Sade goes shopping at Yamilton, where there are a dozen washrags for a dollar, yet doesn't buy any.

The kids loiterin' 'round the switchboard

Hi-de-hi-Ho-de-ho! My name is Jimbo. Shortly after finding Vic and Sade in 2010, I realized that finding the information I wanted about the show was pretty much non-existent. That's when I set out to solve that situation and do it myself.

Little did I know that in a parallel universe, Barbara Schwarz and The Friends of Vic and Sade were doing/had done the same exact thing I was doing - except very little of the info they had collected was on the internet.

Thanks to member Louie Johnson, the two materials were married and I went about adding everything they had to what I already had done. (Louie went way beyond the point of being generous in terms of sharing material)! Others have donated V&S material and I thank you.

Along the way, I was wise enough to get oceans of contributions from as many fans as possible, but especially from Lydia Crowe, (who is in the process of painstakingly taking the audio episodes and turning them into scripts -- plus she's adding commentary to go along with mine), Sarah Cole (whose Vic and Sade insight remains unparalleled) and Keith Heltsley (he frequently podcasts the show and makes his own comments). Dave (from Wisconsin) has shared his insight and expertise with us in a series of articles and his love for the show shines through them all.

The book by John Hetherington, Vic and Sade on the Radio: A Cultural History of Paul Rhymer's Daytime Series 1932-1944, is full of new material and it has opened up a whole new avenue and spectrum of previously unknown information for the Vic and Sade fan. Mr. Hetherington has provided me with lots of information and has patiently answered at least a zillion questions and for this I am very grateful.

The Vic and Sadecast (a podcast about the surviving episodes) is in full tilt. Jimbo, Dave Duckert, PQ Ribber and Shambles Constant handle that chore. There are other guests along the way - yell at Jimbo if you would like to be a part of this project.
