STARRING: ART VAN HARVEY, BERNARDINE FLYNN AND BILL IDELSON
Vic, saddled with the job of mowing the lawn, deliberately lies to Sade so that he and Rush can go bowling. While we are not privy to the facts and whether or not this lie works out for Vic, we know in our hearts that Sade found out about the whole thing. We can assume that Vic was subjected to a harsh belittling by Sade, as always
happened (and for good reason) in these instances.
happened (and for good reason) in these instances.
Vic, knowing he never should have tried to "pull a fast one" on Sade to begin with, probably got back to the job at hand and mowed the lawn, although you can bet he tried hard to get Rush to do it for him.
You can also bet that Rush tried hard to warn Vic not to try and fool Sade. But Vic, along with his other flaws, is hard-headed and determined.
[The gist of this episode is revealed in the book, Vic and Sade on the Radio: A Cultural History of Paul Rhymer's Daytime Series. The title is one I have given the show purely for identification purposes only.]
